Krista Cocke, Newborn Care Specialist
I have been working with infants and children for over 25 years, but have been drawn to and involved with babies almost my entire life! I started babysitting the minute my parents allowed me to (age 15), and continued to do so at least several times a week throughout high school.
I went on to study Early Childhood Development and Photography in college, where I also worked in the on-campus laboratory daycare (infant room) and was employed as a part-time nanny in the community. I moved on to full-time professional nannying after college, and with the exception of the 7 years I was home raising my own children (2 sets of twins), I have been doing it ever since!
Throughout my career, I have worked with many different types of families and children of all ages, but I have always had a particular love for newborns. I enjoyed studying advanced newborn care, infant sleep, lactation support, baby gear, and postpartum support while working as a career nanny, and I continue to take courses, contribute to online professional communities, and read lots of books on anything and everything infant-related.

I am now able to use all of that vast professional and personal experience and knowledge to help families through my work as a Newborn Care Specialist. Not only do I bring a calm nature and maturity to my work, I also have an intuitive style of caregiving and educating. I have been described as a “baby whisperer” and that is just about the highest compliment I can receive!
Families in the entertainment industry have uniquely challenging schedule demands which require a great deal of flexibility. Having worked with many such families here in Los Angeles, I take the job of providing consistency and stability for these babies and their parents very seriously.
I have helped countless parents learn to care for their newborns, create gentle routines, and foster healthy sleep and development. I believe it is my job to help your family enjoy their time together however I can. I am so lucky to be able to be a part of this stage in a new family’s life. What an honor!
